Bourne Stenstrom Lent Asset Management, Inc.
Welcome from our Chairman and Founder Thank you for viewing our Web sight. I founded Bourne Management in April 1983 after I resigned as Vice President and Director of F. Eberstadt & Co., a company that was a manager of the Chemical and Eberstadt mutual funds, an investment banker, institutional money manager and an institutional research firm. The firm was later acquired by Marsh McLennan (the fund management business) and by A.G. Fleming (the institutional research and investment banking business). I believed I could help individuals who needed investment management services or those who did not want to take the time to manage their own portfolios. I had become convinced the investment counsel business was the best way to serve individuals because there is no conflict between the manager's objective and the client's. Also I was and still am a strong believer in the attraction of high quality growing companies. At Scudder, Stevens & Clark where I was a portfolio manager IBM was the main investment that made them successful. At Eberstadt, Xerox carried the day. At Bourne Management, Microsoft was our flagship in the early years and Celgene currently. Donald W. Bourne, Chairman.
